Ministers held an exchange of views on the energy situation in the EU in the context of the war in Ukraine. This extraordinary Council gave ministers the opportunity to reiterate their solidarity with Ukraine and the member states affected by the suspension of gas supplies by Gazprom, implemented despite the contracts in force.
