Following its exclusion from the Council of Europe on 16 March 2022, the Russian Federation will cease to be a High Contracting Party to the European Convention on Human Rights as of 16 September 2022. In accordance with its Resolution of 23 March 2022, the Committee of Ministers will continue to supervise the execution of pending friendly judgments and settlements and the Russian Federation is obliged to execute them.
