A long-awaited report by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) on what China calls the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR) has concluded that “grave human rights violations” have been committed against Uyghurs and “other predominantly Muslim communities”.
