According to analyses and information gathered by international NGOs, there is a possibility that, on the occasion of the regional elections scheduled for 11 September in the Russian Federation, so-called ‘referendums’ could be organised in the Ukrainian areas currently occupied by Moscow, in particular in Kherson and Zaporizhzhya, as well as in the Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts.
