At the end of the one-day special session of the Human Rights Council, a resolution on “the serious concerns and human rights situation in Afghanistan” was adopted without a vote. Pakistan presented the draft resolution on behalf of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. Afghanistan spoke as the country concerned. Mexico, China, the Russian Federation and Austria spoke in general statements or declarations on behalf of the European Union.
