President Michel, attending the summit of the International Platform Crimea in Kiev on 23 August, reiterated the EU’s support for the Ukrainian people ” I am here to reiterate the EU’s firm position: we do not and will not recognise Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol”.
